Everybody loves or hates silly rankings such as TOP100, or the "Greatest Of All Time" aka the GOAT (try not to laugh) which means nothing.
However, I highly recommend checking out the 100 greatest artists of all time articles on Rolling Stone website. This one is very different from the others because each article is written by... a great artist ! The Nine Inch Nails article is written by David Bowie, The Eminem one is written by Elton John (sic!), The Eagles by Shery Crown, Cream by Roger Waters, Metallica by Flea, Elvis by Bono...
OF COURSE, I disagree with their ranking (Queen at the 52th place? Are you f***ing serious?!), but this is really, really pleasant to read. Why ? Because this huge idols that we worship are people too and guess what ? They turn out to be big fans themselves. Yep, just like you and me. And they took time to write it down.
And guess who is number one? Yeah... there's kind of a hint in this article...
