Mon projet folk en solo, né d'une conviction empruntée à Alain Bashung : une chanson doit pouvoir tenir debout avec une guitare et une voix. J'y ai cherché la simplicité, la chaleur et la franchise — loin des effets et des arrangements savants, au plus près de l'humain. J'y joue tous les instruments et j'y renoue avec mon premier amour, le violon, pour les arrangements. |
My solo folk project, born out of a belief inspired by Alain Bashung: a song must be able to stand on its own with just a guitar and a voice. In it, I have sought simplicity, warmth and sincerity — far removed from effects and elaborate arrangements, as close to the human experience as possible. I play all the instruments myself and have rekindled my first love, the violin, for a few of the arrangements. |

Alliant énergie brute et émotions profondes, le groupe mêle compositions originales et reprises soigneusement choisies. C’est également ma première expérience en tant que leader — chanteur et guitariste —, un exutoire inattendu et précieux. |
A groove-infused blues-rock band, formed in Nice in 2023, that makes you want to sing and dance to forget your heartache. Combining raw energy with deep emotions, the band blends original compositions with carefully chosen covers. It’s also my first experience as a frontman — singer and guitarist —, an unexpected and precious outlet. |

JeF, c’est de la chanson rock influencée par Bashung et Thiéfaine, née d'une amitié musicale avec Franck (JeF pour Jean-Christophe et Franck). Avec un univers sonore entre nervosité rock, poésie sombre (en français), Depeche Mode et Nine Inch Nails, JeF a notamment donné naissance à la trilogie Mental Bazar Electrique (2009, 2012, 2017). JeF est aujourd'hui en sommeil. Qui sait ce que l'avenir lui réserve. |
JeF is a rock band influenced by Bashung and Thiéfaine, born out of a musical friendship with Franck (JeF stands for Jean-Christophe et Franck). With a soundscape blending edgy rock, dark poetry (in French), Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails, JeF notably produced the trilogy Mental Bazar Electrique (2009, 2012, 2017). JeF is currently on hiatus. Who knows what the future holds for him. |

J'y explore la structure musicale fondée sur les nombres premiers et le « chaos contrôlé » : introduire du hasard dans des paramètres volontairement restreints pour faire advenir des accidents heureux. ERASM (which stands for Ensemble de Recherche Auditive Sensorielle et Musicale) is my music laboratory. There, I explore musical structure based on prime numbers and ‘controlled chaos’: introducing randomness into deliberately restricted parameters to bring about happy accidents.
